We’re now over halfway through December. Counting today, we are 12 days away from when everyone has decided that they will start the clock over on who they are to suddenly become the person they’ve always wanted to be. Now, I’ve mentioned before that I think that new year’s resolutions are great and I still do! However, I want to pose a question to you all that I’ve been thinking for myself lately.
What are you waiting for?
Why wait the extra week and a half to get a jump on that new workout routine? Why wait to start that book you’ve always wanted to write?
I have found myself saying over the years that I will start to cut out carbs from my diet on Monday or next week, but really, why not now? What are you waiting for?
Chances are that you may have some time off around the holidays. Spending that time with family is a great use of it, but I know that my early mornings when I don’t have work are times that I usually spend sleeping in or just lazing around. So, over the next week and a half, I plan on taking those hours in the morning to accomplish something. Here are some ideas:
- Finishing up some 2019 goals
- Creating your 2020 goals
- Purging your life of negative influences to set yourself up for a successful year.
- Starting that early morning running routine you’ve always wanted
- Get in the groove of meal prepping
- Make your debt payoff plan and setup automatic payments for it.
- Set up your automatic withdrawals for your savings goals for 2020
Remember that you don’t have to start off by running 6 miles every morning. Even if you just get up, put your shoes on and jog down the block and back that is still a big win.
For savings and debt payoff, making a move that’s $50 versus $1,000 is still a step in the right direction. Every dollar counts.
Today is a great day to do something big. Get up and go make it happen!
How do you want to close out 2019? What are you hoping to accomplish by the end of the year? Or what do you want to get an early jump on for 2020? Let me know in the comments below!
